FOODEE Magazine

FOODEE is an independent food and lifestyle publication based in Brisbane. It aims to cover everything that’s happening in Brisbane’s culinary scene, everything from the high-end fancy restaurants, to the hole-in-the-wall cafes. It also gives opportunities for freelancers to write stories about local food trends and food photographers to show off their works.

Inspiration for this project mostly comes from the need to highlight Brisbane’s underrepresented culinary scene in a contemporary and urban way. The project draws many references from a lot of sophisticated contemporary lifestyle magazines and restaurant menus as seen in the way it’s laid out. It also has elements of a rough DIY collage.
